Tri-Ball League / Little League Challenger Division
The Little League Challenger Division® was founded in 1989 and is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges. The Challenger Division accommodates players ages 4 to 18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school.
Tri-Town Little League adopted this division and created the Tri-Ball League in 2024. This coed adaptive baseball program provides neurodivergent youth the opportunity to develop skills and have fun playing baseball.
Each player receives the support they need to catch and throw a ball, swing a bat, and run the bases! Skills are adapted, game rules are modified, and every player is partnered with a peer/buddy to ensure participation, success, and an enjoyable experience. We emphasize friendships, sportsmanship, and team building.
Equipment is provided, but it’s helpful if players bring their own mitt. We will practice skills and play games on Sundays throughout May and June.
For more information, contact Allison Wiest at [email protected].
Registration fee: $25 (scholarships available).
Youth peers/buddies and adult volunteers are always needed!
This league is not limited to Freeport, Durham, and Pownal—we welcome players from all surrounding towns who want to play!
